Assessing software business requires understanding what constitutes a contract: license sales, access to updates, or implementation services. System integration often becomes a separate area of work that defines how different components interact with each other.

What integration contracts include

In September 2026, IQusion announced a contract for implementing an electronic document management system for 30 workstations. The scope included a module for connecting to the electronic interaction system of executive authorities (СЕВ ОВВ), configuration, and user training. In October of the same year, another contract was announced: a system for 250 users and one organisational license for the data exchange subsystem.

This data indicates that integration serves as a separate service. The list of connections and the criteria for successful data exchange are defined for each project individually.

What to pay attention to during development

In a software ecosystem, predictable component interaction holds value, not just the presence of an interface. For data exchange to work correctly, the data itself must be described, its owners identified, and the system's behaviour in case of an error anticipated.

For teams developing their own products, it is beneficial to clearly separate existing connections from those that are only planned. It is also worth determining in advance which specific changes in new software versions will require re-verification of compatibility.
