On October 14, the Ministry of Economy and Industry of Azerbaijan presented DocNet, an electronic document management system developed by the Intecracy Group consortium, to the public as part of an "open day" held in line with the instructions of the National Action Plan for the Promotion of Open Government for 2012–2015, approved by order of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on September 5, 2012.
According to the ministry's announcement, officials from government institutions, banks and other organizations, as well as representatives of civil society institutions, were invited to the first presentation of DocNet. It was noted that implementing DocNet within the Ministry of Economy and Industry has eliminated the need for clerical paperwork, made document flow more efficient, saved time and strengthened performance discipline. Participants had the opportunity to see first-hand how documents are managed automatically in the "Electronic Document Management" system.
